Drug addicts become “scientist” Harian Metro reported that due to the difficulty in obtaining psychotropic pills, drug addicts decided to become “scientist” by creating their own drugs using rat poison, mosquito repellent powder, moth balls, cow dung, cement and glass. Some addicts decided to use friends as guinea pigs to test their creations, and some had died due to poisoning or brain haemorrhage. An addict who only wanted to be known as Din, 38, told the newspaper that a variety of recipes could be used to create new drugs, but the pleasure that one gained varies from one “recipe” to another. “We usually use our own creativity to make new drugs, for example mixing ketamin, Ecstasy, caffeine and rat poison. “Many experienced addicts have been using moth balls and rat poison for long time now,” Din said. Din claimed that 10 of his friends died – some fell and drowned in Klang River following an overdose. ------------------------------------------ Lesson I learn from this:- 1) Friends are NOT guinea pigs 2) Think twice before deciding to be a scientist, chemist or even guinea pigs 3) Cow dung is a newest "recipe" 4) Dont make Din an idol. 5) Use creativity on something else.
